My God, Conservatives Are Stupid!

We interrupt our series on "Conservatism-Extemism-Fascism" to add to our growing list of essays (42) on "Conservative Stupidity" (http://www.criminalizeconservatism.com/search/label/conservatives_are_stupid), occasioned by a comment from "Barb Ann" (https://www.facebook.com/babs.ann.92) on the Facebook version of this site (https://www.facebook.com/CriminalizeConservatism).

While we constantly spare our devoted readers the pain of reading comments from Conservative Sheeplets by deleting 99.99 percent of the tripe they post, the following comment by Barb Ann -- so typical of Conservative Rhetoric (http://www.criminalizeconservatism.com/p/war-on-america.html), is presented for your examination, education, and entertainment:

Poor Barb Ann, either the product of bad parenting or sheer bad luck genetically, typlifies the points made so brilliantly by Carlo M. Cipolla in his essay, "THE BASIC LAWS OF HUMAN STUPIDITY," (illustrations by James Donnelly).

But assuming that bad toilet training is responsible for her lack of common sense, why doesn't poor Barb Ann do something about her ignorance of logic and fallacies and read up on it?  The online sources for logic and fallacies are so prevalent I could presentmore links than one would ever have time to read.

And as our aim is always to educate as well as entertain, we present to Barb Ann the section on "Propositions" from the link in the preceding paragraph by "Mathew" at Infidels.org:

"Propositions

"A proposition is a statement which is either true or false. The proposition is the meaning of the statement, not the precise arrangement of words used to convey that meaning.

"For example, "There exists an even prime number greater than two" is a proposition. (A false one, in this case.) "An even prime number greater than two exists" is the same proposition, reworded.

"Unfortunately, it's very easy to unintentionally change the meaning of a statement by rephrasing it. It's generally safer to consider the wording of a proposition as significant."

("Killing," Barb Ann, is not a synonym for "murder.")

And, Barb Ann, your description of our President is a classical case of "Ad Hominem," as you can see by the Wikipedia entry:

"An ad hominem (Latin for "to the man" or "to the person"[1]), short for argumentum ad hominem, is an argument made personally against an opponent instead of against their argument.[2] Ad hominem reasoning is normally described as an informal fallacy,[3][4][5] more precisely an irrelevance.[6]"
Your attack on the President is no different than me calling you an ignorant slut, Barb Ann.  Can you see that now?  If not, you might consider purchasing the poster at https://yourlogicalfallacyis.com/ to hang on your wall for easy reference the next time you are contemplating rebutting the arguments of those who are vastly more intelligent that you.

You're welcome!

For regular readers of this site, our belief that re-education is preferable for Conservative Sheeplets like poor Barb Ann is preferable to punishment, we know that your patience is sometimes tried by idiocies like hers.  But as Carlo M. Cipolla noted in his Second Law in his Basic Laws of Human Stupidity, "The probability that a certain person will be stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person," and we must be kind to sheeplets of her ilk.

Newer advances in neurological surgery, chemical and stem cell research, and educational methods for the intellectually challanged may help Sheeplets like poor Barb Ann when Conservatism is finally criminalized!

So many Barb Anns, so little time!

Perhaps some of you might want to pay poor Barb Ann a visit to help her see the errors of her ways --> https://www.facebook.com/babs.ann.92...I've developed a headache from reading and deleting moronic posts and comments like hers.

Hopefully, we can finish up our series in the next few days on "Conservatism-Extremism-Fascism" without interruption from any more of the intellectually challenged.
